Terms of service
These terms govern your use of lixirstore.com and any order you place with us. Please read them before ordering. Nothing here reduces the rights you have as a consumer under European Union or Dutch law. Where anything below conflicts with those rights, your rights win.

We sell to consumers. If you are buying in the course of a business, the consumer protections described here do not apply to you.
How an order becomes a contract
Everything on this site is an invitation to order, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you place the order or receive an order confirmation.
We may decline an order. The usual reasons are that an item is unavailable, that a price or description was wrong, that we cannot deliver to the address (see the Shipping policy: we cannot deliver to islands or offshore territories), or that we suspect fraud. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.
Prices and VAT
Prices are in euro and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery costs are shown separately before you confirm the order.
If a price is obviously wrong, meaning a clear mispricing that a reasonable person would recognise as an error, we may cancel the order rather than honour it, and we will tell you why and refund you.
Orders delivered outside the European Union may attract import duties and local taxes on arrival, payable by the recipient. See the Shipping policy.
Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
Delivery
Dispatch and delivery times, destinations, carriers and what happens when a delivery fails are set out in our Shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees.
Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to someone you have named to receive them.
Cancelling and returning
Your right of withdrawal, the hygiene exception that applies to opened cosmetics, and how refunds are handled are set out in our Returns & refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
Using cosmetic products safely
Our products are cosmetics for external use. They are not medicines and nothing on this site is medical advice. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are being treated for anything affecting your skin, speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Every product page carries the full ingredient list (INCI). Please read it if you have allergies. Patch test a new product on a small area before regular use, follow the directions given, and stop using anything that causes irritation.
Products are for personal use. Do not resell them or repackage them as your own.
Product information
We describe our products as accurately as we can, and the concentrations we state are those printed on the packaging. Photography is representative; packaging and shade can vary slightly between production batches.
Claims on this site describe cosmetic effects, meaning how a product makes skin look and feel. They are not claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your login details to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you do.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to this site, scrape it at scale, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe this is happening.
Our content
The LIXIR name, our packaging artwork, product photography and site text belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission. You may of course share links to our pages.
Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, defective products under the Product Liability Directive, or your statutory rights in respect of goods that are faulty or not as described.
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or losses arising from your use of a product contrary to its directions or to the ingredient information we publish.
If something goes wrong
Email us first at info@lixirstore.com. We aim to reply within 5 working days and most things are resolved that way. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
The rest
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the remainder still applies. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to do so later.
